A honey stoned Grade II listed Georgian Cotswold pub with a restaurant and five stylish interior designed bedrooms and alfresco gardens with outstanding views.

Owned and managed by brothers, Tom and Will Greenstock, The Horse and Groom has been popular with locals and visitors for a number of years.  Polished oak flooring, open fires, exposed stonework and beams; original shutters and window seats together with a bespoke bar topped with marble provide all the character you would expect in a good Cotswold pub with an interesting contemporary twist.

There is a relaxed and welcoming country atmosphere in the bar and dining areas with wooden settles; a mix of individual pine and antique tables and chairs; blackboards listing tasty menus; guide books; bulging wine racks and antique pots hanging from the ceiling.  The pub is popular for dining but Tom and Will are keen that you are equally welcome to just call by for a drink and chat with the friendly locals where you will find local ales including the house pint, Goff's Jouster, and a selective wine list.

Menus change frequently offering award-winning dishes created using locally sourced and home-grown produce wherever possible with tempting starters like home cured salt beef, roasted beetroot, soft boiled quail's eggs and gherkin, horseradish cream; and mains such as 4 hour 'fulready' lamb shoulder, slow cooked courgettes with garlic and parsley.

The five chic double bedrooms are individually designed each with its own individual character and charm. A combination of textures and fabrics including traditional checks mixed with silks, velvets and suede's; huge headboards; fabulous mirrors; quirky and individual pieces bring a unique and stylish feel to each room. Home-made flapjacks, complimentary mineral water, tea and coffee making facilities are provided in your room and toiletries from the local Natural Soap Company and fluffy white towels will await you in the calm white en-suite bathrooms all with a bath and shower.

Outside you will find the kitchen garden and the alfresco gardens with wooden garden furniture and umbrellas where you can dine or simply have a pint of your favourite ale whilst taking in the magnificent views overlooking the rolling hills of the Cotswold countryside beyond.

Bourton-on-the-Hill is a pretty Cotswold village close to Moreton-in-Marsh and Stow-on-the-Wold.  On your doorstep you will find Batsford Arboretum; Bourton House Gardens and Sezincote House and Gardens and close by there are many other beautiful Cotswold villages and the quintessential towns of Broadway and Chipping Campden with beautiful mellow honey coloured stone buildings to explore.
